Every year on October 20 the National Council of Teachers of English celebrates the National Day on Writing.

At Bowling Green State University, the National Day on Writing Committee organizes a semi-annual Writing Showcase to celebrate excellence in undergraduate student writing in the General Studies Writing (GSW) department.  The General Studies Writing Program serves approximately 3600 students per semester in three core courses. Students who are enrolled in GSW 1100, 1110, or 1120 submit proposals for poster or presentation sessions for the Writing Showcase.

 

While serving on this committee I reviewed student proposals and helped host the event. To promote the event I created a brief video  (below) highlighting the Writing Showcase that was distributed to GSW faculty and courses.
